DOJ starts gun rights unit on Thursday
On Thursday, the Trump Administration starts a Second Amendment Section within the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ).
“The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
It aims to restore gun rights and reverse anti-gun laws passed by:
states
counties
cities.
This new unit will challenge existing regulations that infringe on a citizen’s right to bear arms, as protected by the Second Amendment of the Constitution.
So far, no one has staffed it.
Also, the Justice Department never updated its website to include the Second Amendment among its 12 sections.
It only lists eleven.
