The Justice Department has readied espionage charges against Joe Kent.

The FBI opened a classified leak investigation into Kent before he resigned on Wednesday.

How much classified information was leaked?

Where did it go?

Media outlets? Somewhere else?

Or both?

Did Joe have help?

Prosecutors allege that Kent used a legal liaison, Allison Lawter, to funnel classified memos to podcasters and journalists.

Allison Lawter, former Chief Division Counsel for the FBI

Lawter is the former Chief Division Counsel for the FBI's Washington Field Office (WFO).

As of today, Allison is on “Indefinite Suspension Without Pay.”

Alethea Harris replaced Lawter.

Allison Lawter is in prison at the Federal Pre-Trial Detention Center in Alexandria, VA.

She has no bond and restricted visitation rights per court order.

More details on her charges will be revealed at her arraignment on Friday at 10 a.m.

Two other co-conspirators will be named then.

Maybe a third—Joe Kent.

  • Courthouse: E. Barrett Prettyman United States Courthouse, 333 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, D.C.

Halpert’s expertise is in commercial litigation matters.

Lawter’s assets are frozen.

How is she paying for an attorney?

A better question is:

  • who is paying the legal bills?

Is it with “tainted” money from a shell company overseas?

What other attorneys are co-conspirators?
