AG Garland signed a treaty to spy on Americans from Australia

Merrick Garland, Joe Biden’s Attorney General, signed a treaty that allows his office to spy on Americans from Australia.
It wasn’t made public until today at 10:38 a.m.

It was signed on December 21st. 2021.
The treaty text acknowledges that it circumvents the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Federal law enforcement agencies can start an investigation in the U.S. without a warrant:
using surveillance and other electronic data
collected in the U.S.
and forwarded to Australia.
According to the treaty, electronic data comes from:
“U.S.-based communications service providers.”
The treaty was signed by:
Merrick Garland, U.S. Attorney General
Karen Andrews, Minister of Home Affairs, Australia
Karen has since retired.

Treaties are signed by any representative of the federal government’s 94 agencies.

However, the treaty signed by Australia defers from the one issued today by the State Department.
