How Trump can appoint his cabinet without Senate consent

Domestic wartime powers of the President bypass Congress.

On Jan. 20th, President Donald J. Trump can appoint his cabinet without Senate consent by signing an executive order (EO) declaring a national emergency to protect America.

This emergency was caused by unprotected borders allowing millions of non-citizens to cross the Mexican and Canadian borders into America illegally.

It has resulted in citizens being killed from an increase in criminal activity such as:

  • drug trafficking

  • child trafficking

  • other crimes like rape

Like recess appointments, “emergency” ones are temporary.

They expire when Congress reconvenes.

Emergency ones last as long as the emergency does. That could be years.

Besides naming his cabinet, the President can, under emergency war powers, arrest people indefinitely without charges in the name of national security and . . .
