Federal prosecutors are about to have Tina Peters, 70, released from a Colorado state prison under witness protection.

Mrs. Peters, a former county voting official, is in La Vista Federal Prison in Pueblo, Colorado.

She will testify in the Justice Department’s investigation of election fraud in Colorado.

Last week, Mrs. Peters' attorneys filed a “restatement” of their appeal based entirely on First Amendment free political speech issues.

A Mesa County Judge, Matthew Barrett, sentenced her to nine years for saying Dominion’s fraudulent voting systems stole the 2020 Presidential Election from Donald J. Trump.

The First Amendment is supposed to protect citizens from being thrown in jail for criticizing their government.

On May 2nd, the Justice Department sued the State of Colorado for failing to follow federal immigration and civil rights laws.

The Justice Department amended its complaint against Colorado yesterday.
