Haiti gets arms to sell per April treaty

A Defense Treaty between the U.S. and Haiti was made public on Thursday at 10:07 a.m.

It became effective on April 24th.

The signatures are illegible.

The treaty updated the one signed in 1961.

The terms of the three-page treaty authorize Haiti to sell the arms the Pentagon is giving them for free (grant).

Who knows:

  • who signed the treaty

  • where the arms are going

  • what they were

  • how much was gifted

  • what items are on the list

  • who got them

  • delivered where and when

  • who the buyers are

  • and who ended up with the cash

At the time of the treaty, Haiti was in civil war, and no government was in place.

The United Nations appointed a new Prime Minister on May 29th.
