As of Friday, even with a terrorist alert from the State Department, people from the U.S. can still adopt children from Uganda.

“Deceiving innocent Ugandan families into giving up their children for adoption has caused great suffering,” said Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Justin G. Muzinich.

“The individuals involved in this corrupt scam deliberately exploited the good faith of Ugandans and Americans to enrich themselves.”

According to federal prosecutors, Dorah Mirembe was paid $400,000 and her employer, European Adoption Consultants (EAC) one million dollars to process 30 fraudulent adoptions.

Buyers also paid bribes disguised as court fees to process phony guardianships for the children being purchased.

Neither the FBI nor Justice Department has attempted to arrest Mirembe, her husband, or law firm, cronies.

Earlier today, the Chief Justice’s office burned legal documents.

Like adoptions.

According to the Uganda Radio Network, a blast caused the fire.

It was ignited by turning on a light switch.
