DHS bills Congress $231 million for records of Trump’s assassination attempt

President Donald J. Trump is in the middle, raising his fist.

The others are unidentified.

HR 9747 was supposed to be an emergency funding bill to avoid a federal government shutdown on Tuesday.

Instead, Homeland Security (DHS) billed Congress for something else:

$231 million for the records of President Donald J. Trump’s assassination attempt in Butler, PA, last month.

The records are due in Congress within 15 days of the bill's enactment.

Joe Biden still has to sign it.

Without his signature, the federal government shuts down in five days.

If Biden does nothing, HR 9747 will become law in 30 days.

Or he can veto it.

The election for a new President is on November 5th.
