FBI tracks pizza delivery apps to ID swatters

Friday, FBI Director Kash Patel said his agency would identify and arrest swatters.
They are people who make false 911 emergency calls and dispatch armed police with guns drawn to kill the swatters’ targets and families.
The FBI believes swatters use Dominoes and Papa John’s pizza delivery apps as surveillance tools to ensure their victims are at home or in the office.
The pizza delivery confirms the target’s address.
Also, the FBI believes swatters are using tools such as:
burner phones
VPN’s
fake voice-over IP or
spoofed phone numbers.
However:
“The NSA Edge and other tools can quickly locate the people making these bogus emergency calls by tracing back their IP addresses and other information easily gleaned from the pizza apps.”
The FBI’s first wide-scale swatter arrests start tomorrow.
