Feds’ deportation warrants override LA’s sanctuary laws

Yesterday, for the first time, the LA County Jail turned over an illegal criminal immigrant to federal authorities for deportation.

The federal arrest warrant overrides sanctuary laws in California and Los Angeles.

Their laws prevent criminal immigrants from being deported from California and Los Angeles.

Judges who issue orders preventing deportation transfers to federal custody are subject to arrest.

The name of the prisoner was not released.
