Biden ignores pleas to save the church in Bethlehem
President Joe Biden visited the Church of the Nativity today in Bethlehem, Israel.
The church was built over the birthplace of Jesus Christ around the year 300.
The sources are the White House and the Jerusalem Patriarchate of the Greek Orthodox Church.
Patriarch Theophilos III is the head of this Christian church.
He requested American help directly from the President to protect his church from being destroyed.
The Patriarch said Christians in the area are being killed for practicing their faith.

After the photo shoot, the President promptly announced $301 million in grants to Palestine.
The next stop for Biden is a trip to Saudi Arabia.
