Both pass through the Bering Strait, a 53-mile gap between Alaska and Russia.
South of the Strait is the Pacific Ocean.
To the North, the Arctic Circle.
One drug route is to Europe.
Rouen is a port city in France on the Seine River, 78 miles northwest of Paris
The other route is through Canada’s St. Lawrence Seaway:
its easternmost port is Halifax, Canada.
Duluth, Minnesota, is at the western end.
the Great Lakes have 14 ports.

Russia agreed to provide year-round international container ship transportation along the Northern Sea Route (NSR) for a Chinese shipping container company.
Panov is a Special Representative for Arctic Development of Rosatom State Corporation.
Fan Yuxin is the Chairman of Hainan Yangpu NewNew Shipping Co. Ltd.
The Russian Federation owns Rosatom.

How can the flow of drugs through the Arctic Circle to North America and Europe be stopped?
To avoid American sanctions, Rosatom only accepts payments in gold and Chinese yuan.
This sidesteps financial sanctions on dollar and euro payments.
