Utah Chief Justice, Gov. sued personally under RICO

On Oct. 14th, Utah Governor Spencer Cox and:

  • seven other defendants,

  • including the Utah Chief Justice, were sued

  • personally for damages as part of a criminal conspiracy

  • under federal civil rights RICO laws.

Tracie Halvorsen and six other residents of Utah are alleging that the defendants are:

  • a criminal enterprise

  • who manipulated Utah’s election laws from 2016 to 2024

  • using mail and wire fraud to nullify the 2024 Utah Republican Party convention results

  • causing irreparable constitutional, financial, and reputational injuries to plaintiffs.

There are no hearings scheduled on the court calendar.

Including one for a preliminary injunction to prevent the destruction of evidence.

Plaintiffs have filed over a thousand pages of exhibits.

Their subpoenas will require the defendants to produce their:

  • phone,

  • email

  • bank records.

Defendants can’t use public funds to defend themselves.

After four others recused themselves on Oct. 21st and 22nd.

They refuse to tell why.
